Promenade: A Cinderella Story

And its the perfect dress! Many students wait years and years for this one special night to come in their last year of grade school. PROM. Some people over do it, but those people feel Prom is special night, that only happens once. The girls have to get that special dress, the perfect shoes, and that ideal guy. Even the guys look forward to their senior prom, some even more than the girls. Its a night nobody ceases to forget, the night we're the glass shoe slips-off (or something like that, I forgot the Cinderella Story LOL). A lot of money is spent for limousines, hotels, Prom dresses, and after Prom outfits. Prom is nice and all, but I'm not spending my life savings on it. This year I helped plan the theme for Prom: A Field of Dreams. Yeah, corny I guess... but whatever I didn't go LOL. Hopefully, I'll be able to plan the prom next year and choose the perfect theme.

Greek Pep Rally

Greek Rally! on PhotoPeach

Our school sponsored a Greek Rally a Friday earlier this month. Our digital media recorded and even snapped some great photos! Different fraternities and sororities danced and stepped; our teachers even stepped.. which made it even more entertaining. Honestly, the AKA's make me want to grow my hair out so I can pledge when I reach college :) I loved the energy each Greek group brought to the table. Taping this was a great opportunity, and a great inspiration for college.

The Ones Not There, Count

The kid in the back of the class that never gets chosen to answer. The kid in the corner of the gym that never gets chosen for a team. The kid you ask every year since you've been in highschool, "Hey, are you new here?". THESE are the "Invisible Kids". Why do we call them invisible? I mean, its obvious... we don't know who they are. Even if they're bad, good, talented, smart, dumb...we just don't know who they are. You would think, because they continue life unnoticed, they'd never make a difference, but the Invisible Kids COUNT.
You're in the gym, 4th block, basketball game, it's going down. The first captain, Abiel, chooses. Next, Jonathan chooses. At the end of team choosing, they realize Abiel has more team members than Jonathan. 7 to 8. Unfortunately, games off. You can't play an uneven game of street basketball. BUT did anyone realize the boy in the back? He's an all around, athletic sports players. He plays in the state division, one of the best on his team. Nobody notices Jorge back there all alone. No one knows his name, or him, he's invisible. But he would have been the highlight of the game, and the game still would have been on. Take notice to those invisible kids. They definitely make a difference.

Treat everyone with respect, and sometimes, go out of your way to greet people you've never met before. You never know who you'll meet. I personally know three girls that walk around our school, incognito. It took me months to realize, they were famous. They're quiet and calm and blend in. Who would ever know they have many records out. I've met some of the smartest invisible kids. Nobody ever gives them enough credit for the things they do. They count the most.

Social Responsiblity: Unresponsibly Taken Serious

Social responsibility is an ethical or ideological theory that an entity whether it is a government, corporation, organization or individual has a responsibility to society at large
_____________________________________________________
PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Is a part of social responsibility. You must exemplify
good parenting skills, not just for the people around
you,  but for your kids as well. CERTAIN things
shouldn't even be done behind close doors in your
own privacy, but to even take it out into the public
is social IRRESPONSIBLE.

_____________________________________________________
BODILY RESPONSIBILITY:
Is a HUGE responsibility. Now, most of live off of the "MY BODY, I CAN
DO WHATEVER I WANT" quote, yea.. HOWEVER, there are various
things you simply don't DO. Face tattoos have and will always be out of the
question, no matter what... but to even get clothing logo's tattooed all over your
face? That's OVERLY IRRESPONSIBLE. Things you wear out in public are
not for public eyes EVERY TIME. Also, no extra baggage. PLEASE.

APPEARANCE RESPONSIBILITY:
Hair is just one example of A THOUSAND appearance social responsibilities one
should know. Now, we know you can have your hair how ever you'd life, to each's
own. BUT, unnecessarily, distractive, distasteful hairstyles will have you jobless and
the center for exuberant laughter. Some things are just simple NO NO's.

Top 3 Mixtapes

Hi, I'm Kendall Latryce & this blog is my life. Music is the blood that runs through me, it pumps through my blood and concentrates within me. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and I'm 16 years old. I love a variety a music, but I'm in love with Wale, J.Cole, and Wiz Khalifa. Other artists I listen too include Senses Fail, Drake, Cool Kids, and the lists goes on. I'm a big fan of R&B and Hip-Hop, but I like a little bit of Rock. My favorite rapper of all time is Lil Wayne. He's gotten a little commercial but I still love his music.
